THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO HELP OUR SCHOOL TO RUN SMOOTHLY

HERE ARE THE TEACHING STAFF
Mrs. M. Chapman - Headteacher and Y5/6 class

I was born in Lytham St. Annes. It was a great place to grow up.
My early teaching career was spent in Manchester, with a spell in South Devon. I then had many happy years teaching in Derbyshire, living in the beautiful Peak District where I married my husband, Steve.
We left for Clyro in 1992. Having settled in a beautiful smallholding, I began my career in Herefordshire at Weobley Primary School. I became Deputy Head at Ivington in 1997 and stayed there until 2000, when I was appointed as a Literacy Consultant for Herefordshire. Although I enjoyed this role enormously, I knew that what I really wanted was to be a Headteacher of a small, rural primary school. Above all, to be Head here at Eardisley. And here I am! In my spare time I still love horse riding and walking with my husband.

Mrs. S. Green - Class teacher Reception

My name is Sian Green. I was born in Surrey but my parents being Welsh gave me a Welsh name. I am married to Nick Green and we have two children, Lizzie and Ellis. I live just outside Hay- on -Wye and I love it! I began my teaching career in London and I have many fond memories although London seems very big and busy now. I have been at Eardisley for 13 years but it has gone so quickly. If I had more time I would like to paint in watercolour but I do enjoy cooking and I am trying to learn Spanish! Hasta luego!

Mrs Sue Mealand - Part time Y5/6 teacher.

I was born in Liverpool but lived in Bury. At the age of 7 moved to Hertfordshire, briefly, before arriving in Presteigne, Powys just over the border. Attending primary and secondary schools I spent many happy hours out riding on ponies and taking part in YFC. At 18 I went to Salford University to study geography and then a year at the Polytechnic of Wales to take the Diploma in Vocational Guidence. On completion I moved to Buckinghamshire and worked as a Careers Adviser for 15 years. My last role was as an Area Careers Adviser and when my first daughter was 2 I took a career break. A few months after my second daughter was born I took a PGCE through The Marches and since moving to Weobley almost 8 years ago I have worked in Herefordshire and Shropshire as a teacher. I currently work 2 days a week with year 5/6.
Mrs. Claire Wood - teaching assistant.

Claire lives in Almeley with her daughter Sally and Steve, her husband. Claire works mostly with Years 3 and 4 at the moment.
